GMS is an independent firm of Chartered Accountants formed in 1988, that provides a range of accounting and consulting services to all businesses from start up sole-trades and partnerships to established SME’s and international PLC’s throughout . The firm provides businesses with a wide range of services aimed at helping owner managers grow their businesses and retain profits in a tax efficient manner.

The Firm is owned by Mr Sunimal Perera, Mr Gamini Peiris and who are Associate members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.

As firm of Chartered Accountants GMS offer a range of services such as audit and assurance, Tax and Business advisory, Accounting and payroll assignments., financial advisory and head hunting services . . All services are provided on a fixed fee basis, ensuring each client receives maximum value for money

A TRAINING ORGANISATION

The firm is recognized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka as a training organization under it’s training program for the various required levels of training for it’s Membership. And also The University of Sri Jayewardenepura’s Department of Accounting is sending their undergraduates to undergo practical training
in Auditing & Accounting. In 2005 the university presented an BEST TRAINER Award for the Firm.

Audit & Assurance
As registered auditors in Sri Lanka we are able to undertake all kind of audits and independent reviews. This include; Limited company audits,charity audits and independent reviews,
Accounts Preparation
We offer a broad range of great value Accountancy services, from basic compliance through to a fully supporting and advisory service. We pride ourselves on providing more than just an annual accounts service. We have excellent working relationships with many of our clients who need a high level of service and regularly have ad hoc queries with regards to their financial performance.
Payroll
We can prepare Payroll weekly, 4 weekly or monthly for employees and subcontractors. With each Payroll run, we will prepare & forward your payslips, , Payroll Summaries and advise on payment to CGIR, EPF and ETF.
We can arrange for the wages details to be faxed to the bank if you wish your wages to be paid by Bacs or Chaps.
As part of the Payroll Package, we will prepare the End of Year Returns.
If you would prefer to keep the Payroll service in-house, we can set up and train you and your staff on a Payroll Software Package. We can offer a spot check service, or just prepare your End of Year Returns.
Book-Keeping Services
We can take over the bookkeeping function for your business. This would give you the option to receive management accounts on a regular basis, either monthly or quarterly depending on your business needs.
As an alternative, we offer advice on setting up accounting systems
Management accounts
We provide financial reporting statistics monthly, quarterly or half-yearly so that accurate data is used to form the basis for business decisions and to capitalize on emerging opportunities
Cashflow and profit forcasts
Need finance or a bank overdraft? Or just need to know how to manage your cash over the next few months? We can prepare the forecast figures for presentation to the bank/financiers to support your business growth and development.

With customer service in mind, the product range includes Self Employment tax , PAYE Tax, Value added tax, Corporate Tax, . monthly obligations and applications to CGIR, appeals against assessments received.

PROFILES OF PARTNER'S

Sunimal Perera
He passed out as a Chartered Accountant in 1987. He has been working in the capacity of Director –Finance in many Public sector Enterprises and has wide experience in Public sector accounting, auditing, Taxation Etc. Presently he is the Managing partner of the Firm.

Gamini Peiris
He passed out as a Chartered Accountant in 1987 being already a B.Com graduate. He has considerable experience in Public Sector accounting, general accounting & auditing and has implemented many Systems and Procedures in various organizations.
